Hola!!!...El genero de Gorillaz es de :Rock; Rap; Hip-Hop y Reague con un tocke de Electronica...Lo sé porque Damon Albarn(Vocero que protagoniza a 2-D) lo dijo el la edicion de DVD de Gorillaz...

De hecho Gorillaz Es una Banda Virtual
El vocalista (2-D)( que sería el único Real)es Damon Albarn( de The Good, The Bad And The Queen, bueno en realidad la bandas no tiene Nombre Pero así se le conoce XP)

Y el animador es Jamie Hewlett un dibujante inglés...

el género podría ser Blues, trip hop,Dub, Rock alternativo inglés( en canciones como Punk. o M1 A1)... pero al ser una mezcla de varios generos es difícil cotejar a Gorillaz en algún género...
